Description
For the second summer in a row, a concert-masterclass will take place in cooperation with Järvi Academy and the Arvo Pärt Centre. The internationally recognized Pärnu Music Festival, which is taking place for the twelfth time, combines both master classes and workshops for musicians within the framework of the concert program and the Järvi Academy. This year, the festival celebrates Neeme Järvi’s 85th birthday.
The Baltic Sea Philharmonic chamber orchestra will be conducted by the participants of the master classes. The program will include music by Arvo Pärt and Béla Bartók, and musicologist Kristina Kõrver will give an introduction to Arvo Pärt’s “Da pacem Domine” and other works.
The concert can also be watched live on the Pärnu Music Festival TV channel: https://parnumusicfestival.tv/pmf.
