Description
Tõnu Kõrvits continues his composer-in-residence position at the Eesti Kontsert with compositions for chamber ensembles. His poetic and visionary music takes the listener on a hypnotic journey into the landscapes of nature and folklore, the human soul and the subconscious mind. In Kõrvits’ musical language, the expressive melody is complemented by a subtle spectrum of harmony and timbre colours. The programme’s highlight is the premiere of his new work.
This chamber recital features acclaimed musicians of our younger generation. Trio ’95, Robert Traksmann (violin), Marcel Johannes Kits (cello) and Rasmus Andreas Raide (piano), who won the First Prize at the prestigious Ilmari Hannikainen Piano Chamber Music Competition in Finland , is joined by the young Estonian singer Karis Trass.
The concert takes place in cooperation with the Eesti Kontsert. See more here.
