On 21 June, Mr. José Manuel Barroso, the President of the European Commission visited the Arvo Pärt Center during his short stay in Estonia. Together with the Prime Minister of Estonia Taavi Rõivas and representatives of the European Commission Mr. Barroso was introduced to the composer’s archive and a friendly meeting took place with members of the Pärt family. The guests were acquainted with the recent results of the architectural competition and the winning design, after having a small walk on the Kellasalu grounds for the future building.
